Skiing in Pitztal
There are several reasons to visit the valley of Pitztal. Firstly, there is the highest point of the Tyrol, (Wildspitze, 3774 m). Second - the snow is guaranteed from late September to mid June. And finally, well-groomed slopes with a small number of skiers on them. Most of the local entertainment is in the village of Mandarfen.
The region is in the top positions concerning the snow characteristics in the list of all ski resorts in the Upper Tyrol.
Pitztal offers many advantages for skiing and snowboarding holidays and there are varied ski runs at your disposial. The season here starts early and ends late thanks to its altitude.
Pitstal ski resort is made up of four areas: Arzl, Wenns, Jerzens and St. Leonhard, true holiday paradise connected by one skipass.
Snow Park - Pitztal Glacier
For all fanatics of freestyle there is a lots of fun on the Pitztal glacier. The snow park on the Mittelbergbahn at slope n°36 has three areas which offer the right kick for rookies and pros, from the curved box to the numerous rails and jumps. Even more, there is a new half pipe below the Gletscherbahn! The snow park at 3,000m is open in autumn till late spring.
