Skiing in Sochi

Sochi is a new ski winter holiday circuit which has had its launch with such important event as Winter Olympics in 2014. It is located in the Caucasus Mountains and borders with Georgia.

The resort city is rapidly developing thanks to the construction of new facilities. There are new hotels and self-catered apartments, bars, restaurants and new roads and it seems like an European ski resort. The nearby resort of Krasnaya Polyana could soon become one of the most popular resorts in the world. Its elevation is from 540 m to 2238 m, and its unique snow cover, guarantees skiing from December to April. The resort consists of four ski centres: Rosa Khutor, Gazprom Mountain (Laura), Gornaya Karusel and Alpika Service.
